  • This is a wonderful way to find out what I offer as a Holistic Nutritionist and for you to ask some of your initial questions.  It is the perfect way to decide what steps are best for you to take on your healthy journey.

  • When you book your initial consultation you will receive forms to be filled out prior to your appointment.  I will also requests copies of blood tests as they are so helpful in our chat and assisting you to move forward on your healthy journey.  During this appointment we will explore your health concerns, review your health history, discuss your blood test results, and answer your questions to help you begin your healthy journey.  I will also type up your recommendations and email them to you with 2 – 3 days so you can easily start making changes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
  • This appointment will also include a 60 minute “Follow-up” appointment booked within a month of your initial consultation.  This is a wonderful way to go over your recommendations for clarification, ask more questions and have chat about your next steps.  This is always a very helpful appointment!     
  • 60 Minute Maintenance Appointments                                                                                   $125.00 + HST                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
  • These appointments can be booked as often as needed to allow us to continue to discuss your changes, test results and nutrition and wellness goals and supplementation.  It is also a wonderful way to help you stay motivated to make the healthiest decisions for your overall health and wellness.
  • 30 Minute Maintenance Appointments                                                                                  $75.00 + HST                                                                                         
  • These appointments can be booked as often as needed to allow us to continue to discuss your changes, test results and nutrition and wellness goals and supplementation.  It is also a wonderful way to help you stay motivated to make the healthiest decisions for your overall health and wellness.
    Supplement Discussion Appointment                                                                              $125.00 + HST                                                                                     
  • These appointments are for those who would like to discuss the supplements that they are presently taking.  It is important to be taking quality supplements that are bio available and that are third party tested.   It is so important to make sure that you are not taking too much of a single nutrient and that you are taking enough of another to make a difference in your overall health. Submitting blood test results is always very helpful to add to this discussion and I will draw you up a SUPPLEMENT CHART to make your supplementation easy to understand.
  • Family Consultations                                                 120 minute Appointment + 60 minute follow-up appointment – $349.00 + HST

After filling out and submitting forms (Health History, Food Journals, WISE form and submitting test result of your choice).  I will review all of this information prior to appointment.  We will then discuss your health and wellness concerns, I will answer your questions and together we will plan the first steps in your healthy journey to allow you to reach your goals.

Follow-up Appointments:

These a wonderful appointments that can take place as often as you feel necessary to allow you to continue to make the healthiest choices for your overall health and wellness.  It is a wonderful way to stay motivated and to continue to discuss your  successes, challenges, and ask questions.

Family Nutrition Appointments

These appointments are very popular with families as it can be challenging to inspire your spouce, and/or children to eat healthier at any age.  I love working with family’s of all ages because when a family is all on the same page and understands a little bit more about nutrition it makes planning meals and snacks that much easier.  Good nutrition is so important at every age and it can difficult to discuss and to inspire your own family members to make healthier choices.  This is where Shawn comes in and these appointments have helped so many families get back on track with less resistance.  All we want is for our family members to stay as healthy as possible and this is an easier way to do that.
It is important to be able to answer questions without judgement and make learning fun!
If everyone learns together and family members feel like they are taking responsibility of their own health with a common goal, these wonderful changes are much easier.

Hi Shawn,

It’s been a few years since I last walked with you and since I had my session with you about bone health. I hope you and your family are all well.

When I first came to talk with you, I had been diagnosed with osteopenia bordering very closely on osteoporosis. My doctor wanted me to go on medication but I was very reticent to do that. She told me that of all her patients, she had more confidence in me trying some alternatives (nutrition and exercise!) and said we could hold off for a year. Well, I’m so happy to say that after four years, I have pulled myself right out of the danger range. She says that if it weren’t for the fact that my mother had osteoporosis (in her 90’s) that I now wouldn’t even be considered at risk – even though I am a textbook candidate … small-boned, fair, and 71 years old 🙂

After three years in a row of bone density tests, I now have been moved to an every second year schedule – and I’m holding my own! I really had no idea that you could improve your bone density until you told me that it was entirely possible with nutrition and exercise. Sadly, I haven’t used my poles in a few years, but I do walk almost daily. I do squats and wall push-ups; I eat so many more fruits and vegetables, and I include in my daily diet prunes, nettle tea, molasses, and Natto powder.

Last night, I began watching a docuseries on Remedy: Ancient Medicine for Modern Illness. It’s about herbs. It made me think of you, and as I had just received your latest email about nutrition and exercise, I felt I owed you a long-overdue thank you!

So Thank You for your knowledge and your encouragement. I’m certain you continue to help so many people each and every day attain their goals of better health naturally.

I’ve joined the Shred 10 this month and would like to order the juice plus complete plus shakes. I’ve never liked shakes but since I’ve followed everything you’ve told me to do I’ve had an amazing recovery so I will like to add the shakes to my diet! Chocolate!
Thank you for putting all those articles together. I have to tell you that eating an anti inflammatory diet which is plant based, taking juice plus, walking every day a minimum of 30 minutes (at the moment with a walker but I walk fast- proactive to avoid slips and falls) my body has recuperated beyond all medical expectations. I can walk pain free after a spinal compression fracture and broken ankle (both tibia and fibula broken and reinforced with metal). From August until September I was utterly  incapacitated flat on my back and couldn’t even sit. From September until November was in a wheelchair and couldn’t stand. Learned to walk from November- December in a water tank that had a treadmill. By the end of January I could walk and move pain free! It’s a miracle!

Hi Shawn,

“How are you? Just wanted to give you an update on my dad. I have great news. My dad had his ultrasound in July. We just had an appointment with his cardiologist to discuss the results. When my dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure  almost 2 years ago, his heart was pumping at less than 20% pumping function.  After over a year of adding CoQ10 and Juice Plus to his ritual, I am happy to announce that his results show full improvement. Normal pumping function for a man is 52% I am told. His ultrasound indicates normal pumping function if not better.  Amazing!

p.s. When I told the cardiologist about the CoQ10 over one year ago, he dismissed it. On Thursday, he mentioned that he has been recommending it to his patients on statin drugs.  Let’s just say I never gave in. 😉

On the start of my journey for better mental and physical health, I was fortunate

to find the help I need to succeed with your professional guidance and support.

I hit the wall November 2017, with no energy, severely depressed with very black thoughts,

my weight was  272lbs, my blood sugar was not under control, I couldn’t sleep, bowels were a mess,

Going forward, I want to continue on this learning journey, to help my anxiety issues and panic attacks,keep my blood glucose regulated so I won’t have to take prescription meds, become more physically fit, so my sagging skin has a better frame to fit on, and lose another 50lbs, but all in good time.

Forms to fill out prior to your First Appointment

Once you have decided the time is right to make permanent changes to your nutrition, health and or fitness you can book your Initial Nutritional Appointment with Shawn. You will be sent via mail or e-mail the following forms: A Health questionnaire, a WISE questionnaire and a Food Journal Sheet. You can download the Health questionnaire and Food Journals, fill them out and bring them with you to your initial appointment with Shawn. The WISE questionnaire can be filled out on line, if possible and e-mailed to Shawn prior to your initial appointment so that Shawn can get a head start on your nutritional assessment prior to your first appointment.

Your initial consultation appointment with Shawn

During this initial 3 hour meeting, Shawn will gather more information from you. She’ll ask about your risk factors for disease, lifestyle habits, medications, and nutrition supplement use. She’ll also walk you through a detailed diet history to learn your eating/meal schedule, your portion sizes and, of course, your food preferences. Based on this information, Shawn will prepare your “Nutritional & Lifestyle Recommendations” that will be discussed at this time also so you can begin making healthy changes right away!!

Follow-up appointments with Shawn

Your “Follow-up appointments” and all consecutive appointments can be one on one appointments -3 hours in length or some also enjoy booking one hour phone consults to stay on tract – 1 hour in length.

There is always so much to learn and so much to share and this is a wonderful way to stay on tract, ask questions and decide what steps are best to take.

Shawn can also discuss with you a customized meal plan that will outline the times, portion sizes, appropriate food combinations and suggestions for healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks with foods that you enjoy.
